Ron Magdanz and Slinger are still working out when our second race will be and what type. We may have to run our heat race before the normal show starts. Jerry Quella said if we run a dash maybe it should be for no points, possibilities that the field may be inverted. Slinger will require transponders this year, our transponders that work at WIR will be the same for Slinger. Slinger has offered to sell the club members transponders for $325, see Ron Magdanz if interested. Golden Sands is still looking for a sponsor for the trucks. Transponders will not be required at Golden Sands (Plover). Tech day will be on May 5, 2007 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Rander Car in Kaukauna. There will be an official meeting held during tech day from noon-1:00pm. Tech inspection committee volunteers were asked for: Eric Johnson, John Roeser, and Ryan Heiting volunteered. The results of the club survey were presented by Charlie Haven, if anybody would like a hard copy of the information, see Charlie Haven. Ron Magdanz presented information he gathered from a meeting with the FRRC and Roger Van Daalwyk. The guard rails on the drag strip will have to be moved in towards the centerline of the track leaving us with less room to park our haulers. The haulers will have to be angled more almost parallel to the track. The four cylinders will not be parking on the drag strip this year. WIR will have the drag strip pit gate open for us to enter our pits, much like when the road construction was going on KK. Jerry Quella requested Ron to ask if we could take haulers on tech day to the drag strip to see how they would fit. The payout at WIR from the FRRC will be $850/night total and a points fund will be available to the Sports Trucks, if money is present in the points fund the FRRC will give the Club up to a total of $50/truck per night total (including the $850). New Business A discussion was held to see if the club wants to run a promotional sticker showing the club's web site address. Ideas of placement were the windshield, back spoiler and back of cab. members said they have the windshield and spoiler already sold to sponsors and Dan Vixmer said if we put the sticker on the top of the windshield it will hamper his visibility. A motion was made by Ryan Heiting to adopt the following: Club web site stickers will be required to be run by all participants. The stickers will be approximately 3" high by 40" long and will need to be ran on the upper half of the back of the cab. Peggy Rusch will make the stickers in black or white. The club will pay for the stickers. Motion was seconded by Matt Stake. Motion carried 15 – For and 1- against. Peggy Rusch presented a proposal by Midwest Design Homes to sponsor the club. Midwest will required that EVERY club member run a sticker in plain visible site, location to be determined by truck owner. The club would receive $2,000 for the 2007 season and the money would be split $1,000 for the home series and $1,000 for the away series. The money would be added to the points fund. Rob Vandermoss had an issued with the way the void clause was written as it was stated if anybody at any time did not have a sticker on their truck the contract would be void. Peggy and Rob will review the wording to make if fair if new people showed up or trucks got into accidents and stickers weren't visible that the club had a reasonable amount of time to replace the sticker. Peggy will get prices on the stickers and banner for pictures. Memberships are due tonight , March 21, 2001 and will increase by $10 if paid after March 21, 2007. Discussion was held on the past champions/sport truck racers, race to be held at WIR, it was well received. Next meeting to be April 18, 2007 at 7:00pm, at the Colonial House. Agenda items: Club Sponsorship and club stickers. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 by Brandon Kucksdorf and seconded by Jason Plautz, motion carried.
